A government organization is asking the residents of Grand Forks and East Grand Forks for feedback on its latest update to a plan that maps out the cities’ transportation growth.
A public input meeting will be held from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Nov.13 in the Training Room of the East Grand Forks City Hall to discuss updating the cities’ Long Range Transportation Plan.
The meeting will utilize an open house format with a formal presentation at 6 p.m., according to the Grand Forks-East Grand Forks Metropolitan Planning Organization.
The purpose of the Public Input Meeting is to provide the public with the draft plan, one that reveals there is just enough revenue to meet the needs of simply maintaining the existing street and highway system in the cities.
Representatives from SRF Consulting Group and the MPO will be on hand to answer questions and discuss concerns.
If unable to attend the Public Input Meeting, written statements or comments must be mailed by Nov. 29 to Earl Haugen, P.O. Box 5200, Grand Forks, ND 58206 or email email@example.com with “Public Input Meeting” in the e-mail subject heading.
