A public meeting will be held Thursday evening to gauge Grand Forks residents’ feedback on a plan for a shared-use path along South 42nd Street.
The meeting will be held from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Century Elementary School.
The path, meant to accommodate both pedestrians and bicyclists, would run from 17th Avenue South to 24th Avenue South.
Representatives from the City of Grand Forks and the North Dakota Department of Transportation will be available to answer questions and discuss concerns.
Those who are unable to attend may submit written statements or comments no later than Oct. 30 to David Kuharenko, Engineering Department, P.O. Box 5200, Grand Forks, ND 58206 or e-mail: firstname.lastname@example.org with “Public Input Meeting” in the e-mail subject heading.
Fall leaf collection start delayed
Grand Forks city calendars say fall leaf collection will start this week but city officials say that’s not the case this year.
Instead, fall leaf collection will begin on Oct. 14. City crews will attempt to make two passes through the city — as long as the weather holds out.
Leaves will not be collected if they are covered in snow or ice.
