City Bits: Flood news

While flooding in Grand Forks and East Grand Forks isn’t expected to reach the level of major (46 feet), the cities and Grand Forks County have been closing some amenities near the river.
Here are some flood-related announcements:
  • Closures include the south end and the north end pedestrian bridges, the dog park and lower trails in the Greenway and city boat ramps.
  • The Grand Forks County Emergency Operations Center (EOC) is now open 8 a.m. to  5 p.m., seven days a week until further notice. To contact the Grand Forks EOC call (701) 780-8213.
  • Grand Forks County residents looking to get sandbags can contact the Grand Forks County Highway Department at (701) 780-8248.
  • Grand Forks and East Grand Forks have moved the curbside collection for Spring Cleanup Week back to the week of May 13-17.
